The Honeymoon is OVER!

The honeymoon is over!

As I walked through the children's school earlier this week somebody joked that I might want to continue this for longer because Roby was doing everything. Roby has stepped up more than I could have imagined but the honeymoon is over. We are throwing habits/rules out the window faster than ever just to get through the next 2 weeks.

To his credit, Roby has brought me home flowers, not once, not twice but three times! However, it is has become very obvious what doesn't bother him or that we have completely different views of important tasks around the house.

What is driving me crazy:

1. Baths, we usually do baths every other day (I usually did baths) let's just say Natalie has been swimming in the kitchen sink more than in the tub.

2. The yard....this is awful.....since Roby has to do more with meals and more with laundry and we have a big yard, oh and did I mention that I like to mow so I usually do the mowing. Roby has mowed everyday this week. He goes out and does a portion until his phone rings or he has to something else and then the next thing we know is that it's dark. Basically by the time he finishes it, he is going to need to start back at the beginning. Honestly, I can't wait to get permission to mow the yard!

3. My bed, our should I say OUR bed. I cannot sleep an in unmade bed and do you know how hard it is to make a king size bed on crutches! Let's just say Roby does not care what the bed looks like and one of the first things I can do when I can stand on both of my feet will be to make my bed (our bed).

4. The garbage. I can't carry out the garbage bag out to the trash on crutches and very rarely did I do it before the surgery but for some reason every time I hop by the can the bag is full, the lid is closed, and somebody put garbage on top of the lid. SERIOUSLY, this is really starting to bother me.

5. After school schedule, we usually do snack, homework, and piano before the freedom of the evening begins. It's just not happening like that or smoothly. One of the biggest problems is Natalie. She loves to sit at the piano with Noelle, it precious to me but highly annoying to Noelle.

6. Prison. While I joke that prison would be nice: read, relax, uninterrupted sleep, ....I have decided I would make a lousy prisoner. One day, I sent Roby a text and said I have to get out of here so I went to the grocery store for 3 things: yeast, oil, and pizza sauce. I did not use the motorized cart, I hopped through the store with a backpack on my back. Holy Moly....people were staring at me. It must be comical to see somebody shopping on crutches with a backpack.

10 more days!!
