Apple Picking

 

Last year, we thought it might be fun to go to the apple orchard. We didn't get there until one of the very last weekends and so the selections were getting slim. This year, Roby took the eldest 3 on the opening day.

It was strange not going with them but in reality there is no way my doctor would approve for me to be hopping around an orchard so Natalie and I stayed home.

Last year we all grabbed apples and dumped them in the bag. This year Roby had a plan this year. They brought a notepad and separate bags so they could label them separately. It is nice know which one we are eating. Our favorites are Jonathan and Jonalicious but Roby also likes Granny Smith and Kyle loves the Golden Delicious.

It was a successful day. They brought home 29 pounds of apples and we may have to make a second trip to the orchard before they close for the season!
