Adam turned 3 on July 4th. He is 110% boy, 110% fearless, 110% unpredictable.......
To my surprise, Adam does not like me being injured. Everyday when he wakes up he asks me 'Mommy knee better?' and so I think he is getting use to this non-walking mom. Following surgery, my knee was wrapped for about 3 days. I then went to the physical therapist and he removed the gauze and put a clear thing over it so I could shower. When I got home I was able to show them the clear wrap, which was clear so it did appear a little bloody and bruised. Adam was disgusted, 'Oh no, Mommy's knee is bad' and he didn't come near me for about a day.
I know I shouldn't compare children, so if that offends you, do not read any further.
Adam is our third child and one would think we would have the hang of things but Adam is not at all like Noelle or Kyle. Adam wants to jump off of everything! Adam will eat anything! Adam loves mustard, Noelle love BBQ sauce, and Kyle loves ketchup. This condiment fetish seriously crowds the table. Adam never used a pacifier, he uses his two middle fingers on his left hand. I know we should have already broken the habit, the older two did not use a pacifier when they were three. Be assured we are discussing it but it's one of those things we will worry about in 21 days oh and potty training him. Yes, he still wears a diaper but proudly I can tell you he knows when he does the deed because he comes up immediately and tells you poopy but he's not patient and so the thought of sitting on the toilet and waiting for something to happen or forcing it to happen is not in his daily plan. One day, I did convince him to sit on the potty and I said 'push' and he took his pointer finger and very carefully pushed his knee cap as if he there was a button and said 'nothing' so I gave up!
Adam is absolutely adorable and he loves to help Natalie, get into trouble. His newest thing is to open the baby gate and yell 'Quick Matalie Quick' and they both climb the stairs and hide upstairs. It's cute but frustrating on crutches!
