I'm very disappointed in myself, I wrote a Christmas letter but never printed it to put it in the mail. I guess our friends and family will have to use their imaginations by looking at our pictures.
We have had a wonderful 2012. I'll start with myself. I have learned a lot about myself this year. I have never given up anything for Lent, it's 42 days long, too long for me. In August, I had knee surgery and gave up walking for 42 days. I'm now months past and have just begun getting back to the gym and everything feels good, expect lunges but who wants to do lunges anyway? I'll let you know if I give up anything for Lent this year!
Noelle, our oldest daughter is 8 years old! She is amazing but I'm a little biased. She is taking off with piano and does very well in school. She is not so amazing at organization so I have 10 more years before giving up all hope.
Kyle is our fabulous 6 year old (as of last week) and is in Kindergarten. At this point, he is a little Roby......thinks about everything, works at his own pace, and says the darnedest things. After the first week of school, he says he is never returning if he has to color again.
Adam is 3. Rather than speaking on his behalf, I asked him the following questions.
Favorite Food: Scrambled Eggs and I do make them for him 3-4 times a week.
Favorite Color: Orange, not sure where he pulled this out of, I'm not sure he even knows the color orange.
Favorite Family Member: Kyle
Favorite Friend: Kyle
Favorite Toy: Buzz and Woody
Natalie will be 2 at the end of February. She has officially taken the reigns of holy terror from Adam. She climbs, screams, and bites like the best. She's not all terror, she does cuddle (when she is not feeling well :).
Roby is my wonderful and amazing husband. After the ordeal with my knee, he has the greatest appreciation for me and the millions of things that get done that are not seen. He is cherishing time with the children and trying to slow down time.
AND the newest member of our family. While Roby wouldn't mind having another child, we have fell in love with our Goldendoodle, Cocoa. She just turned two and is a perfect fit for our family. She even enjoys/allows the little terror in our house to lay on her.
We may not have done anything lavish this year but we spent a lot time together this year. We know every family enjoys playing together but a family that can work together stays together. I'm not sure what is in store for 2013 but we have our faith and trust that God will be with us each and everyday!
